Although under ELCT, MEMS project right from the beginning serve faith based health facilities of all denominations. MEMS also serve public facilities. MEMS provide the hospitals with value added services such as quality assurance of medicines, training on inventory management and rational use of medicines.
In July 2012, MEMS was registered as an ecumenical not-for-profit Company under Tanzania Episcopal Conference (TEC) and Christian Council of Tanzania (CCT). MEMS aim at developing a sustainable supply chain to the faith based health facilities and complement the public ones as deemed necessary.
