The United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) seeks Expressions of Interest (EOI) from qualified suppliers for the Provision of Branding Services to the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), Geneva. The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) is the United Nations global reference in the protection and promotion of human rights, with some 60 field offices and presences globally. That recognition has been earned over the course of 20 years by committing to promote the rights of everyone everywhere. This global mandate is the essence of OHCHR’s brand.
The UN Human Rights Office, also known for outreach purposes as UN Human Rights Office, speaks out publicly against human rights violations, supports the Human Rights Council, and other mechanisms and monitors States compliance with their human rights obligations through the Treaty Bodies system. It also seeks to ensure that duty-bearers uphold their human rights obligations and encourages rights holders to claim their rights through support to victims and technical support. The advocacy work of the Office is to primarily influence various actors including, governments, civil society organizations. The OHCHR brand is a strategic asset that supports the organization’s ability to fulfil its mission. It must build goodwill among our supporters, improve recognition among our audiences, and strengthen our reputation with partners.
The project shall be for a strategic rebranding exercise, which includes a brand diagnosis, a perception study and the articulation of a renewed brand essence and footprint. It also aims at proposing an implementation plan, including a launch plan for 2018 and a variety of advocacy and communications tools, from traditional media to multimedia products, social media and advertising that will highlight the work of the UN Human Rights Office, but also provide elements for fundraising/engagement opportunities.
The target audience will be the general public, Member States, civil society/grass roots organizations and the UN system, as well as donors including private ones.
