Occupational Safety and Health Database for Emergency Responsers

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has a requirement to develop an occupational safety and health database for emergency response personnel responding to terrorist events or industrial accidents. The work involves gathering, indexing, interpreting and disseminating scientific information and will be performed in two phases. Phase I will be a 12 month effort for development of data fields, database format, review procedures, and information for the initial 40 chemical, physical or biological agents. Phase II will be a 24 month effort for the development and testing of information on an additional 110 agents. Offeror must be experienced in the field of occupational safety and health, toxicology, and database programming. RPF 2002-N-00424 will be available or about May 20, 2002.
