1.       The Government of Kenya has receivedfinan cing from the World Bank toward the cost of the implementation of the Kenya Climate Smart Agricultural Project (KCSAP), andintends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Rehabilitation and upgrading of Wajir LivestockTraining Instit ute (Building Works).

2.       The Ministry of Agriculture,Livestock, Fisherie s and Cooperatives, State Department of Crop Development and Agricultural Research now invites sealed bids fromeligible bidders forRehabilitation and Upgrading of Wajir Livestock Training Institute as shown below to be constructed at WajirLivestock Training Ins titute.

3.    will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the WorldBank’s Guidelines: < em>Procurement of Goods under IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers, dated January2011 and revised in July 2014 - ( “Procurement Guidelines”), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in theProcurement Guidelines. In addition, pl ease refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy onconflict of interest.

4.       Interested eligible bidders may obtain furtherinformation and inspect the bidding documents at the < strong>Kenya Climate Smart Agricultural Project, (KCSAP)Procurement Office situated at Capitol Hill Towers, Cathedral RoadNairobi E-mail: infor@kcsap.go.ke; Telephone: +254-020-2715466;www.kilimo.go.ke from Monday to Friday excluding weekends and publi c holidays during office hours East Africa Time from 0800hours– 1700hours

5.   &nbs p;   A complete set of bidding documents in Englishmay be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission ofa written application to the address below and upon paymentof a nonrefundable fee of KES. 1000/=. The method of payment will be ca sh or Bankers Cheque in favour of the PrincipalSecretary, State Department of Crop Development and Agricul tural Research at the cash office situated atKilimo House, Lower ground floor; Cathedral road, Na irobi.  The bidding document may becollected from the KCSAP Supply Chain Management office upon production of a purch ase receipt. The bidding documents may be alsodownloaded free of charge from the Ministry’s Website: www.kilimo.go.ke. Bidder s who download the bidding document arerequested to inform the Procuring Entity and fully provide their contact details.  Thiswill be used in the event of a needto communicate to all the interested bidders. 

6.        A MANDATORYPre-Tender Site Visit shall be conducted by the employer on Tue 5th May 2020 at 10.00am at Wajir Live stock Training Institute,Wajir County.

7.       Bids must be delivered to the addre ss below and submittedon or before 10.00 a.m. East Africa Time on 23rd May, 2020 . Electronicbidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of thebidders’designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend.

8.       All bids must be accompaniedby a “Bid Security” in the form of a Bank Guarantee as follows:
