PROCUREMENT OF BS 80A RAILS.
The Kingdom of Cambodia has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Rehabilitation of the Railway in Cambodia, and it intends to apply part of the loan proceeds to payments under the contract for procurement of BS 80A Rails.
The Ministry of Public Works and Transport now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the procurement of 2,000 Metric Ton of BS 80A Grade 900A, 25 Meter Long Rails CIP SISOPHON, Cambodia.
International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: One Envelope bidding procedure for procurement of goods and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Ministry of Public Works and Transport and inspect the bidding document at the address given below from 09:00 to 11:00 hpurs and from 14:00 to 17:00 hours on any working day. The bidding document, in English, may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of US$ 100. In case the document is requested to be sent by Courier, US$ 100 must be added to the fee. The method of payment will be cash or certified check. The document will be handed over in case the payment is made by cash/certified check. However, if the document is requested to be sent by Courier, no liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery. All bids must be accompanied by a security of US$ 30,000 and be delivered to the address below at or before 14:00 hours (Cambodian Standard Time) on 27 August 2010. Late bids will be rejected.
Bids will be opened at 14:30 hours (Cambodian Standard Time) on 27 August 2010, in the presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend, at the same address below The Ministry of Public Works and Transport will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of bids.
