Title Research Study on Technology Foresight on Biometrics for the Future of Travel
Description The main objective of this tender is the delivery of a research study with a focus on the future of biometrics for implementation in border control systems that may, in a short (1-5 years), medium (5-10 years) and long term (10 + years) perspective, benefit the work of the agency and the EBCG community.

FRONTEX - Cooperation at the External Borders of the EU Member States - (from French: Frontières extérieures for "external borders", legally: European Agency for the Management of Operational Cooperation at the External Borders of the Member States of the European Union) is the European Union agency for external border security.
It is responsible for co-ordinating the activities of the national border guards in ensuring the security of the EU's borders with non-member states. The main role of Frontex is to protect EU external borders with North Africa and Turkey from illegal immigration and people trafficking as well as infiltration into Europe by possible terrorist elements from North Africa and the Middle East.
Focuses on strengthening safety and security systems while supporting conflict prevention, stabilization, and long-term peacebuilding efforts.
Focuses on strengthening secure and efficient border control systems, promoting integrated approaches to regulate cross-border movements of people and goods, and combating transnational threats such as smuggling, trafficking, and terrorism in developing nations and border regions.
