 EBRD is considering financing the acquisition of small and medium-sized electric buses and construction of depots in the cities of Nukus and Namangan in Uzbekistan. The project aims to improve urban transport services and sustainability in the cities.

 Project Summary:

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is seeking a qualified consultant to conduct a comprehensive Feasibility Assessment for the acquisition of electric buses and construction of depot facilities in Nukus and Namangan, Uzbekistan. The assignment aims to provide the Bank with verified information, analysis, and recommendations to assess, structure, and approve the projects, enabling efficient implementation.

 The objectives of the assignment include technical feasibility assessment, detailed city bus route assessment, scoping, costing, and investment plans, market assessment of potential bus operators, and preparation of procurement plans. The Consultant will also be responsible for environmental and social assessments, financial and economic analysis, and undertaking Green Economy Transition assessments for the projects.
