Description

The Swedish Migration and Refugees Center (SMRC) is pleased to invite expressions of interest from international and national organizations seeking a committed, professional, and field-experienced implementing partner in Syria.

SMRC has been actively operating across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region since 2019, with a strong focus on:

  • Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS)

  • Special Education and Disability-Inclusive Programming

  • Reproductive Health and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Prevention

  • Child Protection and Family Support Services

  • Capacity Building for Humanitarian Workers

In Syria, SMRC proudly partners with Tawasol Center for Training and Consulting, a reputable local institution based in Hama Governorate. Tawasol has been working in the fields of mental health, special education for persons with disabilities, and community support since 2014. The center has built deep-rooted trust and operational presence within the local community. A formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between SMRC and Tawasol was signed in April 2025.

Through this strategic collaboration, we aim to support and expand quality services for vulnerable populations, including children, women, and persons with disabilities in underserved and hard-to-reach areas.

We welcome partnership discussions with organizations planning humanitarian programming in Syria and looking for a reliable and experienced local partner to jointly implement high-impact, community-based interventions.
