The consortium of associations for the protection of refugees, immigrants, internally displaced persons and disaster victims "CAPRIDIS – DRC" is a group of non-profit, charitable, apolitical and non-denominational associations.
It was born under the aegis of the association STAND POUR LES REFEGIES EN DRC represented by ALEX BUCHUNGA BIGERA in order to defend and promote the rights of the most vulnerable people, to preserve their lives, to meet their essential needs in emergencies and to promote their full development. This consortium essentially campaigns on the lives of refugees in DR Congo and their resettlement in other countries that agree to receive them under legal status in order to ensure them international protection and, ultimately, permanent residence. Priority is given to women, children, young people and the elderly living in urban and rural areas, transit camps, refugee camps and other refugee camps, particularly victims of extreme poverty, war, natural disasters and all forms of violence or exploitation in the East of the Democratic Republic of Congo in particular and everywhere else in general. It will also intervene in emergencies in coordination with both national and international agencies and those of the United Nations, namely the UNHCR, the National Commission for Refugees (CNR), the main Congolese civil society organizations working in the humanitarian fields and government services responsible for humanitarian affairs.
