Northern Power Company, formerly known as Power Company No.1, was established according to Decision No. 0789 / QD-BCT dated 05 February 2010 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade on the establishment of the parent company - The North of Vietnam belongs to Vietnam Electricity Group on the basis of the reorganization of Electricity Company No. 1 and has received the right to represent the owner of state capital of Electricity of Vietnam in MTC Electric Power Co., Ltd.
