Northern Power Company, formerly known as Power Company No.1, was established according to Decision No. 0789 / QD-BCT dated 05 February 2010 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade on the establishment of the parent company - The North of Vietnam belongs to Vietnam Electricity Group on the basis of the reorganization of Electricity Company No. 1 and has received the right to represent the owner of state capital of Electricity of Vietnam in MTC Electric Power Co., Ltd. Hai Duong, Ninh Binh, operating in the form of parent company - subsidiary.
