The Ministry of Transport main mission is to monitor and implement the Governments policy on transport with a view to modernizing our transportation system. The Ministry of Transport structures are meant to achieve the following specific objectives:

Improve the institutional, legal and organizational framework of the transportation sector
Organize transportation activities
Promote the development of transports
Promote the availability of an adequate and high-quality transportation service
Improve the accessibility of social and professional groups to transportation services
Enable access to bank loans for carriers.

According to these specific objectives set forth to meet the concerns of the population, actions and activities of the Ministry of Transport fall within the strategic focus n°4 of the Government Work Program (GWP): to ensure the recovery of economic infrastructures and the modernization of the transportation system.
