Ministry of Employment, Vocational Training and Crafts (MEFPA) (Senegal)

The Ministry of Vocational Training, Apprenticeship and Handicrafts is responsible for:

- the management of technical and vocational training disciplines, whatever the sector and the level of studies;

- the academic supervision and control of any technical or professional training, ensuring their adequacy with the economy;

- Facilitating the acquisition of professional knowledge and the quality of continuing education in all sectors;

- facilitating the integration of graduates and trainees;

- promoting learning and modernizing traditional apprenticeships;

- the opening of technical and vocational training courses in relation with companies;

- the development of handicrafts, the promotion and export of handicrafts;

- the modernization of the craft sector;

- facilitating the access of artisans to the financing of their activities;

- monitoring the establishment of artisanal villages in local authorities.
