The office of the Minister of Health is a supervisory board for the accomplishment of the mission of safeguarding the general interest entrusted to the Minister; he assists the latter to ensure the direction, governance, leadership and overall performance of the department. It is responsible among others for:

Propose to the Minister, in liaison with the General Secretariat of the Ministry, the strategic orientations intended to translate the vision, the policies and the strategies of the Government in the sectors of activities falling within the competence of the Ministry;
Ensure the correct application of the Government's program of action and the strategic orientations of the department with the general secretariat of the Ministry.
