The Ministry of Mines and Energy is a national public entity of the upper executive central level, whose responsibility is to manage the country's non-renewable natural resources ensuring its best and greatest use; the orientation in their use and regulation, guaranteeing their supply and ensuring the protection of the natural resources of the environment in order to guarantee their conservation, restoration and sustainable development, in accordance with the criteria of evaluation, monitoring and environmental management, indicated by the competent environmental authority.
