Description

The U.S. Embassy in Barbados, the Eastern Caribbean is the diplomatic mission that aims to advance U.S. interests and assist and protect US people in the Eastern Caribbean. The U.S. has backed the government's attempts to broaden the country's economic base and raise residents' living standards. Barbados is a beneficiary of the United States Caribbean Basin Initiative which aims to promote economic growth and export diversification in the Caribbean Basin economies by granting duty-free access to the United States market for most commodities.
