Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tajikistan

The ministry performs the following tasks:

- development and implementation of a unified state policy in the field of agriculture, including in the field of crop production, livestock and other sectors of agricultural production;

- development of programs and production forecasts that ensure the efficient use of the country's agricultural potential;

- Organization of monitoring production and profitability of agricultural production, determining development trends;

- development of draft legislative and other regulatory legal acts, standards, regulations, instructions, norms, necessary standards on agricultural issues;

- monitoring compliance with established standards, regulations, instructions, norms, analysis of the main statistical indicators of agricultural production;

- in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan, the organization of control over the import, export, production and use of agricultural products;

- development of proposals for the development of breeding, seed production in the fields of crop and livestock, fishing and beekeeping, plant protection, the use of pesticides and other toxic chemicals in the fight against agricultural pests, mechanization, the growth of agricultural production, including cotton, the development of agricultural infrastructure;

- support for agricultural producers, development of recommendations to improve the efficiency of production of various types of products and agricultural work;

- a comprehensive assessment and forecasting of the state of agriculture, providing state and local authorities, enterprises, institutions and the population with relevant information;

- within its competence, coordination and fulfillment of obligations undertaken by the Republic of Tajikistan under international conventions and international treaties and agreements;

- promoting investment in the agricultural sector.
