The OECS Commission is the administrative body of the Organisation. The Commission is headed by the Director General, who is responsible to the Authority and whose role includes the supervision of the day to day administration of the Organisation and convening and presiding at meetings of the Commission.

The Commission’s functions include the provision of Secretariat services to the Organs of the Organisation, coordinating meetings of these Organs and acting on decisions, recommendations or directives approved at such meetings. The OECS Commission can make recommendations to the OECS Authority and the Council of Ministers regarding the formation of Acts and Regulations of the Organisation.  It undertakes other work and studies, and perform other services relating to the functions of Organisation as required under the OECS Treaty or by the OECS Authority or by any other Organ.
In order to carry out these services, the Commission is organised into several Divisions namely Office of the Director General, Office of the Deputy Director General, Economic Affairs and Regional Integration, International Relations, Development Cooperation and  Resource Mobilisation, Programme Management, Social and Environmental Development and Legal Services.

These several Divisions oversee the strategic direction of the Organisation, as well as the work of a number of specialised institutions, work units or projects located in five countries - Commonwealth of Dominica, Saint Lucia, Belgium, Switzerland and Canada

In the fulfilment of its mission, the OECS works along with a number of sub-regional and regional agencies and institutions. These include the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB), the Caribbean Community (Caricom) Secretariat, and the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB).
