Description
The Procurement Unit conducts all procurement activities of goods, services and works in compliance with the regulations and procedure of the Public Procurement & Concessions Commission (PPCC).
The responsibilities of the unit is to prepare the Ministry’s annual procurement plan, prepare invitations to bid, requests for quotations, request for proposals bidding documents, including
schedule and specifications; Conduct bid opening procedure in accordance with the Act; ensures that procedures and processes are in compliance with the provision of the PPCA; monitors the performance of contract award; conduct the assessment of the quality of goods, works and services that are to be procured for the Ministry. The Unit is headed by a Director.
