Ministerio de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible (Argentina) / Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development

Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development of Argentina is the government agency responsible for coordinating national government policies on environmental matters, establishing strategic planning of policies and programs in that regard. It is responsible for the promotion, dissemination, and development of activities to contribute in its field by integrating with various state agencies, as well as the fulfillment of the right to a healthy environment guaranteed by the Argentine Constitution.

It has its origin in the Ministry of Environment (created in 1991 as the Ministry of Natural Resources and Human Environment) that depended on the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Nation.

El Ministerio de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible de Argentina1 es el organismo gubernamental responsable de coordinar las políticas del gobierno nacional en materia ambiental, estableciendo la planificación estratégica de políticas y programas en ese sentido. Tiene a su cargo la promoción, difusión, y el desarrollo de actividades para contribuir en su ámbito integrándose con diversos organismos estatales, como así también el cumplimiento del derecho a un medio ambiente sano garantizado por la Constitución argentina.

 Tiene su origen en la Secretaría de Ambiente (creada en 1991 como Secretaría de Recursos Naturales y Ambiente Humano) que dependía de la Jefatura de Gabinete de Ministros de la Nación.
