This patrimony, described in art. 20 of the Federal Constitution, belongs to all Brazilians and is administered by the Secretariat of the Patrimony of the Union (SPU), linked to the Ministry of Planning, Development and Management.
SPU's competences include, among others, the incorporation and regularization of the domain of goods; its proper destination; beyond the control and inspection of the real estate. They are described in art. 31 of Decree no. 9,035, 2017.
To fulfill its institutional mission, the Secretariat of the Patrimony of the Union (SPU) has:
