Abs Development for Women & Child (ADO) is a developmental, humanitarian, non-governmental and non-profit organization, and it has been established and registered in Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, Yemen in 1996 (27 years) under license No. (331) and it Operates all over the governorates of Yemen, particularly targeted the disadvantaged rural areas that located on the Tehama coastal area.
Since founded it seeks to create and improve a better living situation for women, children and youth through improving livelihood, civil, social political rights programmes and humanitarian aid and resilience building for vulnerable and under gender –based violence programmes (GBV & SGBV), according to the values of partnership and quality.
ADO has been lifted up in many core areas of humanitarian response specially in supporting woman and child, and in 2015 it has been registered in UNOCHA via GMS (Low Risk) as one of the most reliable and reputable humanitarian organizations in Yemen.
ADO has 6 branches (Sana'a, Hajja, Aden, Mokha, Raymah and Hodeida) and it has a professional and specialist cadre in various departments (Food security, Agriculture and Livelihood, WASH, Health, Nutrition, Shelter & NFIs, CCCM, Protection and Child protection, Education, Gender…etc.)
ADO has valuable partnerships with many international organizations (UNOCHA, UNICEF, UNHCR, DKH, BMZ, GIZ, FAO, OXFAM, ACF, WFP, CARE, ZOA, SFD, SFCG, HAD, ENTERSOS…etc)
ADO is working in many cores of humanitarian response (WASH, FSL, Health, Nutrition, CCCM, Protection and Child protection, Education…etc.) and has successfully served almost 6,695,412 people during its 27 years of humanitarian works.
