Railways of the Republika Srpska (ŽRS) was established in 1992 with its headquarters in Banja Luka, and since 1996 the company has its headquarters in Doboj, a city that has always been the city of railway workers and the second largest railway junction in the former Yugoslavia. RS Railways is a company for public transportation of passengers and goods and infrastructure management in the territory of the Republic of Srpska. The company is a joint-stock company, and in the capital structure there is a stock fund, a pension fund, a restitution fund and private equity. The internal organization is based on the basic principles that ensure the efficiency of conducting business activities of the Company, the technical and technological structure of the system, employee safety and real profit.
