The purpose of this decree is to fix the attributions of the Ministry of Population, Social Protection and the Promotion of Women

The Ministry of Population, Social Protection and Promotion of Women is responsible for improving the socio-economic conditions of the population, putting in place protection and promotion systems for women, of gender and minorities, to design and coordinate, to put in place the general orientation framework in terms of social protection for vulnerable households.

It monitors and evaluates activities relating to the advancement of women, the advancement of gender and the protection of minorities
As such, it ensures:

Reducing social exclusion
Strengthening national solidarity
Combating the vulnerability of the population
Improving the living conditions of the population
Access by the poor and vulnerability to basic social services
Integrating the vulnerable population into the development process
Promotion of human rights
The establishment of effective mechanisms and strategies for the prevention and management of violations of the rights of vulnerable people.
