Description
Ningxia is one of the birthplaces of ancient Chinese civilization.
In the third century BC, after the First Emperor of China unified the countries, he installed Beidijun and stationed troops. Furthermore, using water from the Yellow River, the emperor started an irrigation system.
On October 25, 1958, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region was established.
