The Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food (Ministerio de Agricultura, Pesca y Alimentación (MAPA) is the department of the Spanish government responsible for creating and implementing government policy on agricultural, animal and fishery resources, food markets, regional development and human food.
The MAPA also provides up-to-date information on agriculture, fishery, and livestock markets, forestry and rural development policies and agri-food industry developments as well as delivering high-value cartographies and geographic data such as the Agricultural Plots Geographical Information System which enables farmers and ranchers to identify parcels declared as being owned by them.
