The Fisheries Administration (FA) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Cambodia is a government agency responsible for the management, regulation and promotion of the national fisheries sector. Fisheries constitute both an integral part of rural livelihoods and a major contributor to the national economy and to food security in Cambodia. FA works to maximize the contribution of the fishing sector to the achievement of national objectives, particularly those related to improving rural livelihoods, enhancing food security and the sustainable development and equitable use of the fisheries resource base.
