Description
The Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) commends the decision by the Government of Armenia to lift its travel restrictions for people living with HIV.
Through the Regional Support Team for Eastern Europe and Central Asia and the UNAIDS National Programme Officer in Armenia, UNAIDS provides technical support and policy advice to accelerate a multi-sectoral, comprehensive and inclusive response to HIV/AIDS in Armenia. Closely cooperating with national institutions, civil society and other international organizations, UNAIDS assists Armenia in achieving Universal Access to HIV prevention, treatment, care and support, and contributes to the attainment of its Millennium Development Goals.
