The subject of the Management Board's activity is the performance of the duties of the administrator of poviat roads within the meaning of the Act on Public Roads, in particular:

• development of road network development plans
• development of projects, financing plans for construction, modernization, renovation, maintenance, protection of roads and bridges
• acting as an investor
• maintenance of engineering structures, safety devices and other devices related to roads
• implementation of tasks in the field of traffic engineering
• coordination of works in the right-of-way, in particular: issuing opinions on the planned occupation of the right-of-way, and issuing opinions on the felling of trees in the belt of poviat roads,
• issuing opinions on the location of construction facilities along roads
• keeping records of roads and bridges and. collecting data on the road network,
• carrying out periodic inspections of roads and bridges
• winter maintenance of roads and bridges
• performance of intervention works, works related to road maintenance and security works
• counteracting adverse environmental transformations that may arise or arise as a result of road construction or maintenance
• introducing restrictions or closing roads and road bridges for traffic and designating detours when there is a direct threat to the safety of people or property
• maintenance and care of greenery in the right-of-way outside the built-up area
• management of land and other real estate remaining in the Management Board of the authority managing the road
• performing tasks in the field of national defense.
