The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Town Planning is a Public Administration which produces acts related to Town planning, Land tenure and Housing.
Its missions are to:
Define and apply the national policy on town planning, land, housing and architecture;
Manage the urban domain;
Managing urban land
Promote land development;
Develop, approve and promote urban planning tools, including urban master plans;
Renovate and restructure urban neighborhoods and modernize village communities;
Promote the use of local materials in building construction;
Supervise the professions involved in the fields of town planning, land and housing;
Participate in the implementation of the promotion of architectural quality;
Promote access to land ownership;
Promote home ownership
Purge customary rights;
Build and manage land reserves on behalf of the State;
Develop and implement an institutional, regulatory and financial framework allowing the emergence of a real housing market.
