Description
The Steering Committee for the Reform of Enterprises of the State Portfolio, "COPIREP", created by Decree No. 09/15 of April 24, 2009, is a public institution with a public character. It replaced the public service "COPIREP" from which it took over the personnel, property, rights and obligations.
The copirep is responsible for the reform of public enterprises.
Public enterprise reform is a long process that includes several components, including:
- Modernization of the legal and institutional framework of public enterprises;
- Transformation of public enterprises
- development and implementation of strategies for corporate restructuring and sector reforms
- Implementation of the social aspect of the reform
- Disengagement of the State of enterprises
