Kumbo Council

Kumbo Council is headed by Mayor Dr. Mborong Venasius Bonkiyung, assisted by four Deputies.

The First Deputy Mayor is Mme Lukong Alice Tomla, the Second Deputy Mayor is Mr Sendze Evance, the Third Deputy Mayor is Mr. Njoaka Cyprain, and the Fourth Deputy is Alhadji Adamu Foka.

The Council’s Legislative organ is composed of forty-one (41) democratically elected Councilors, elected for a five-year term of office.

Kumbo Council area is made up of the following villages; Kikaikelaki, Kitiwum, Kishiy, Kimbo-squares, Kikaikom, Kiyan, Shisong, Mbuluf, Nkuv, Kingomen, Kitumen, Sakir, Mbotong, Bamdzeng, Ndzeen, Tobin, To-oy, Marem, Bamkika-ai, Rovitangta, Njavnyuy, Mbah, Ntseni, Mbveh.

The Kumbo Council Administration has a total of thirty-three (33) permanent staff members, and employs over forty others on seasonal basis. The Council has 5 Committees, namely:

(1.) The Economy and Finance Committee;

(2.) The Social Affairs Committee;

(3.) The Natural Resources Committee;

(4.) The Works and Infrastructure Committee;

(5.) The Education and Sports Committee.
