To fulfill its mission, which the public authorities have entrusted to it, the CSA has in particular a Food Security observatory which carries out periodic surveys throughout the national territory for monitoring the food situation, a fleet of 56 trucks with a total transport capacity of 8,000 tonnes per month, 32 4x4 vehicles, a network of 100 stores spread across the country, with a storage capacity of 120 000 tonnes, a stock of first aid equipment (blankets, tents, mats, etc.) and a permanent National Security stock of cereals.
Its staff is made up in addition of the Commissioner and the Deputy Commissioner, of 389 managers and agents. Its organizational structure includes a cabinet and eight directorates. The CSA has a network of twelve regional delegations employing specialized technical staff equipped with all the necessary logistics.
