Fundusz Górnośląski S.A(Upper Silesian Fund SA) - (former GARR-Upper Silesian Regional Development Agency )

The Upper Silesian Fund was established in December 1995 as the entity implementing the provisions of the Regional Contract for the Katowice Voivodeship signed by the government and social side, represented by representatives of local governments, trade unions and business organizations. The main tasks of the Fund have been the development of the capital market in the region and activities for the development of entrepreneurship and the creation of new jobs.

The Upper Silesian Fund pursued the goal set for it by providing the institutions of the region with appropriate tools to improve financial operations and reduce their costs and risks.Acquiring financial resources for regional investments.Investing in business entities to increase their market value.

STATUTORY OBJECTIVES OF ACTIVITY
The object of the Fund's activity in accordance with the Statute is, among others:

• Economic, financial and organizational restructuring of business entities in the Śląskie Voivodeship,
  
• Acquisition and acquisition of shares and interests, in particular in the companies of the Śląskie Voivodship, and management in order to achieve maximum economic efficiency,
  
• Purchase and disposal of securities and other financial instruments,
  
• Attracting external capital for investment financing in the Silesian voivodship,
  
• Financing restructuring and development projects,
  
• Administration and management of funds earmarked for restructuring and development projects,
  
• Cooperation with domestic, foreign and international institutions in the scope of the Company's tasks.

The Upper Silesian Fund implements its tasks both through its own operations and the Capital Group companies.
