The Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) is the government’s agency responsible for managing Spain’s international development cooperation strategy. The Agency is responsible for developing, executing, and administering development cooperation projects and programs, either directly through its funding or in partnership with other national and international agencies and non-governmental organizations.
AECID is mainly involved in sectors such as water and sanitation, economic growth, culture and science and rural development but also works to develop the education sector, gender, improve democratic governance, the environment and the health sector.
