Ministère de la Solidarité de la Cohésion Sociale et de la Lutte contre la Pauvreté de Cote d'Ivoire (Ministry of Solidarity and Fight against Poverty)

The Minister of Solidarity, Social Cohesion and the Fight against Poverty is responsible for the implementation and monitoring of the Government's policy in matters of solidarity, social cohesion and the fight against poverty.

As such, and in conjunction with the various ministerial departments concerned, it has the initiative and responsibility for the following actions:

• In terms of Solidarity.

- Promotion and implementation of solidarity actions;

- exclusion as well as hatred in all its forms; promotion of education for a culture of peace, dialogue and peaceful coexistence;

- promotion of means of prevention, management and peaceful resolution of conflicts;

- maintenance and strengthening of solidarity between all the components of the Ivorian Nation;

- implementation of actions in favor of communities in distress;

- implementation, monitoring and coordination of the activities of national and international associations and organizations with humanitarian purposes ‘. evaluation of solidarity strategies and actions;

- development and strengthening of advocacy and awareness among populations in favor of victims of crises, natural disasters, disasters and human trafficking;

- social support for vulnerable populations;

- implementation of the policy of assistance to the wards of the Nation and to the wards of the State;

- prevention of the phenomenon of trafficking in persons, in conjunction with the relevant Ministries:

- protection and care for victims of trafficking in persons, in conjunction with the relevant ministries;

- coordination and cooperation in the fight against trafficking in persons, in conjunction with the relevant Ministries;

- inventory and assessment of the damages suffered by the victims of crises, disasters and natural disasters; proposal and implementation of compensation measures for the damages of crises, disasters and natural disasters;

- proposal of measures and modalities for the implementation of compensation for damage;

- reparation and compensation for the damage suffered by the victims of the crises that occurred in Côte d'Ivoire;

- mobilization of financial resources and means for the management and repair of damages suffered by the victims of crises, disasters and natural disasters.

• In terms of Social Cohesion

- implementation of the policy of strengthening and promoting national unity;

- promotion and implementation of social cohesion and national reconciliation actions;

- maintaining and strengthening cohesion between all the components of the Ivorian nation;

- evaluation of social cohesion strategies and actions;

- strengthening of the legal framework for promoting social cohesion and national reconciliation;

- contribution to the reduction of conflicts, tensions and violence;

proposal to the Government of measures aimed at combating injustices and inequalities of all kinds,
