Mission

The Ministry of Popular Power for the Environment (Ministerio del Poder Popular para el Ambiente) is in charge of protecting, conserving and recovering the environment, through the construction of the new Ecosocialist model, based on a harmonious relationship between man and nature, which guarantees the rational, optimal and sustainable use and exploitation of natural resources, respecting the processes and cycles of nature.

To be the governing body of public policies aimed at contributing to the preservation of life on the planet and the salvation of the human species as well as promoting the leading participation of the Venezuelan people in the construction and consolidation of ecosocialism as the only option against the predatory model , discriminatory and unsustainable capitalist.

Strategic guidelines

Promote the collective construction of Ecosocialism.
Consolidate reforestation and recovery of degraded areas.
Promote recycling and waste management.
Strengthen Ecosocialist training.
Guarantee the conservation and sustainable management of National Parks, protected areas and biodiversity.
Implement land management taking into account the consequences of climate change and drought.
