About
The Directorate-General for Infrastructure is responsible for:
oversee all aspects of the installation, development and maintenance of all public works at the expense of the ministry;
develop and implement long-term maintenance and development strategies for the road network according to the government's political and macroeconomic guidelines, in collaboration with the structures concerned;
exercise the role of prime contractor for all road construction works, drainage networks, dams, engineering and water retention works and all civil engineering works not entrusted to other specific structures;
ensure the construction of public works infrastructure at the expense of the State and control the public interest works carried out on its behalf:
participate in the development, application and adaptation of standards and regulations in public works and road traffic;
Ensure the technical control of the installations of the toll and / or weighing units;
contribute to the preservation of the areas of public works services and the right-of-way for the ministry.
