The Ministry of Social Development, is responsible for national social policies and coordination - both sectoral and territorial -, coordination, monitoring, supervision and evaluation of plans, programs and projects in matters within its competence, tending to the consolidation of a redistributive social policy progressiveness. It also is the mission of this ministry contribute to the development of social participation scenarios that allow the strengthening of active citizenship and Uruguayans, promoting broader integration of the protagonists to their activities.
