Description
The State Office for Flood Protection and Water Management Saxony-Anhalt (LHW) stands for modern flood protection in the region with its three pillars: precaution, technical flood protection and strengthening the natural water retention in the area.
The LHW is responsible for the operation, maintenance and expansion of the hydrological measuring network. The determined biological, chemical, chemical-physical and hydromorphological data of surface waters and groundwater are collected, processed, evaluated, presented and published.
