The Red Cross Society of China is a unified Red Cross organization of the People's Republic of China, a social assistance organization engaged in humanitarian work, and an important member of the International Red Cross Movement. The purpose of the Red Cross Society of China is to protect human life and health, safeguard human dignity, carry forward the spirit of humanitarianism, and promote the cause of peace and progress.
