The Municipal Planning and Strategic Affairs Department (SMPAE) is responsible for government management, aiming to guarantee the efficiency of public services provided to the community through the follow-up and monitoring of projects, deliveries and indicators of the Municipality of Porto Alegre. The portfolio works to promote, integrate and coordinate strategic projects, considering the transversality, relevance and priority of the subjects dealt with.
The secretariat is responsible for preparing the proposals for the Multiannual Plan for the Budget Guidelines and the Annual Budgets of the Direct Administration, as well as promoting their consolidation with the proposals of the Indirect Administration of the Municipality of Porto Alegre. The SMPAE establishes the relationship with other federated entities, with public and private entities and with the business segment. The portfolio also prospects opportunities, analyzes and prepares projects and programs and executes the necessary procedures for raising funds from the Union, the State and national and international financial entities.
