Description

Colombia’s green growth framework is marked by the renewed NDC commitment, the Green Growth Policy and the Deforestation Control Policy. The renewed NDC is highly ambitious, with a target set at 51% GHG emissions reductions by 2030. Colombia’s principal green growth strategy – the intersectoral, long-term green growth policy – Conpes 3934 is a long-term roadmap to stimulate an increase in productivity and economic competitiveness by 2030, while assuring sustainable use of natural capital and social inclusion. Lastly, the Deforestation Control and Sustainable Forest Management Policy (Conpes 4021) presents a long-term strategy for zero deforestation by 2030.
