l’Agence Nationale pour le Développement des Zones Oasiennes et de l’Arganier (ANDZOA)

Given the importance of safeguarding and integrated development of oasis areas and the Arganeraie, the National Agency for the Development of Oasis and Argan Zones (ANDZOA) was created under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Maritime Fisheries, in accordance with Dahir No. 1-10-187 of 7 Moharrem 1432 (December 13, 2010) promulgating Law No. 06-10 of February 18, 2010. And this, following the high directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
Regarding the organization of ANDZOA, it is administered by a Board of Directors chaired by the Head of Government and steered by a Strategic Orientation Council chaired by the Minister of Agriculture and Maritime Fisheries. It is also managed by a General Management.

ANDZOA's mission is to draw up, in coordination with the government authorities, the elected bodies and the bodies concerned, a global development program for the areas of its intervention, to ensure its execution, the monitoring of its implementation and its evaluation. ; and this, within the framework of sustainable development at the economic, social, cultural, environmental and human levels in accordance with the orientations and strategies decided upon. To carry out these missions, the Agency takes all necessary measures, in particular:
Carrying out the necessary technical, socio-economic and environmental studies;
The development, in coordination with the ministerial departments and organizations concerned, of socio-economic programs, in particular those relating to the construction of infrastructure and basic equipment in the fields of education, culture, training professional, health, housing, tourism, crafts and services, in particular by entering into program contracts or agreements;
Participation in the preparation and implementation of local development projects aimed at improving the living conditions of the populations of these areas and encouraging them to organize their activity with a view to developing their production and improving their income.
The proposal to the government of any legislative and regulatory measure in order to encourage and support all initiatives for the development of these areas;
The organization of communication, awareness and information campaigns for investors and various stakeholders for the implementation of development programs in these areas.
