Myanmar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs is the government institution in charge of the country's foreign policy and its diplomatic interactions with other nations. The Ministry operates a global network of embassies and consulates that offer consular assistance to Myanmar residents who reside abroad and advocate for Myanmar's interests in the countries where they reside.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs handles the country's foreign relations, which include participation in international organizations and multilateral forums, negotiating agreements, and organizing international events and meetings. It also advises and supports other government agencies on foreign policy issues, and organizes Myanmar's emergency assistance and disaster relief activities with foreign partners.
