The National Institute for the Promotion of Technical and Vocational Training (INAP-FTP) is a Public Establishment of an Administrative nature, created by Decree No. 053/02 of June 16, 2002. It is a structure for advice and assistance in the decision having the role of working to reconcile the demand and the offer of training.
The missions of INAP-FTP revolve around the following axes:
analysis of the qualification needs of the different sectors of the economy through sectoral studies;
the development of training programs responding to identified needs;
pedagogical support to training establishments for the implementation of relevant and quality training.
INAP-FTP also manages the Autonomous Fund for the Promotion of Technical and Vocational Training (FAP-FTP) provided for in Article 28 of Law No. 98/007 of 20 January 1998 relating to Training Technical and Professional whose statutes are part of the decree creating INAP-FTP.
