Description

Aboriginal Affairs NSW is an agency of the Department of Premier and Cabinet in the Government of New South Wales.

Aboriginal Affairs NSW (AANSW) works alongside Aboriginal people and communities to make sure their voices are heard and their interests represented in government.

We implement the NSW Government’s plan OCHRE, to promote social, economic and cultural wellbeing through programs and initiatives that provide Aboriginal people with opportunity, choice, healing, responsibility and empowerment.

Our Agency is located within the Department of Premier and Cabinet cluster of NSW Government.

We work closely with Aboriginal communities and our staffing reflects the diversity of these communities. Over 50 percent of our staff, including senior leadership, identify as Aboriginal. We are also committed to providing a culturally safe and supportive workplace with flexible working arrangements for all staff.
