As a water organization, our most important task is state-owned water management facilities (flood protection main defense lines, flood reservoirs, inland water protection main works, pumping stations, canals, etc.) operation, maintenance and development, as well as protection and water damage prevention. Our professional tasks include the provision and supervision of almost all activities related to water management, including agricultural water services in our area of operation.
About 56 percent of the directorate's operational area is at risk of flooding, but the frequency of incidents related to inland water, settlement water damage prevention and water shortage damage mitigation is also significant. From 1999 to the present day, there have been four floods in the region that exceeded the standard flood level valid until 2014 (in 1999, 2000, 2006, 2010). The fact that the durability of price waves is also increasing increases the risks.
