Description
The Central Office of the Federal States for Health Protection for Drugs and Medical Devices (ZLG) is the joint authority of the 16 German federal states that is active in the field of human and veterinary medicinal products. The ZLG is based in Bonn. It is subordinate to the Ministry of Health of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and is represented by its director. Its tasks include the coordination of drug monitoring in Germany. Furthermore, it is the recognizing and designating authority (e.g. for laboratories) in the field of medical devices.
