Description
The General Customs Directorate ( GZD ) is a higher German federal authority within the remit of the Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF). It is responsible for the operational control of the Federal Customs Administration with its around 48,000 customs officers. It is divided into ten directorates - two central directorates and eight specialist directorates.
