Description
Since 2016, the Government of the Republic of Benin has clearly displayed its ambition to "Transform Benin into West Africa's digital services platform for the acceleration of growth and social inclusion". In a dynamic of rationalization of resources for more efficiency and coherence of public action, it was decided to merge the four executing agencies (Digital Development Agency (ADN); Information Services and Systems Agency (ASSI); National Agency for Information Systems Security (ANSSI); Beninese Agency for the Universal Electronic Communications and Postal Service (ABSU-CEP)) into one.
The Information and Digital Systems Agency (ASIN), under the dual supervision of the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Ministry of Digital and Digitalization, is a government agency, responsible for ensuring the operational implementation of programs and projects within the framework of development strategies for secure services and information systems in Benin. Through the creation of a single agency for the digital sector in Benin, the Government's vision is to generate more synergy, readability and coherence in the sector.
